You can schedule a tour of Box Board Lofts by using the Self Scheduler tool on our website, submitting a request through the Contact Us page, or calling our leasing office directly. Our team can walk you through available layouts, historic building details, renovated finishes, and shared amenity spaces.
Once you choose your preferred apartment home, you’ll complete the online application, submit the application fee and holding deposit, and provide any required documentation. Applications are reviewed for income, credit, rental history, and public criminal records. If an applicant does not meet eligibility requirements, the holding deposit will be refunded.
Most applications are processed within 1–3 business days once all required documents have been received. Timing may vary depending on verification needs and whether an applicant’s background screening is in-state or out-of-state.
Box Board Lofts offers flexible lease terms ranging from 6 to 15 months, depending on availability and the time of year. Please contact the leasing office or submit an inquiry online for the most current lease term options.
Yes. If your preferred loft layout is not currently available, you can join our priority waitlist by submitting an online application, a $50 application fee per person, and a $550 priority reservation deposit. Our leasing team will contact you when a matching apartment becomes available.
Pricing & Fees
Monthly rent at Box Board Lofts varies by floor plan, apartment size, layout, and availability. For the most accurate pricing, please visit the Floor Plans page or contact our leasing team directly.
Utilities are not included in the monthly rent. Residents are responsible for electricity, gas, water, sewer, trash, and optional services such as cable, internet, and phone. Please contact the leasing office for complete utility details.
Security deposit amounts vary based on screening results and may range from $550 to one month’s rent. Please contact our leasing office for deposit requirements specific to your application.
A $50 non-refundable application fee is required per applicant, along with a $550 holding fee to reserve your selected apartment during the approval process. Once approved, the holding fee will be applied toward your security deposit. If an applicant does not meet eligibility requirements, the holding fee will be refunded.
Yes, renters insurance is required for all residents at Box Board Lofts with a minimum liability coverage of $100,000. Please contact the leasing office for policy requirements and available options.
Pet Policies
Yes! Box Board Lofts is a pet-friendly apartment community in Grand Rapids, MI, welcoming residents and their pets.
Up to two pets are allowed per apartment home, with a $400 non-refundable pet fee and $50 monthly pet rent per pet. Please contact the leasing office for the complete pet policy.

Policies & Procedures
Residents can pay rent through the online resident portal using ACH or major credit cards. Please note that processing fees may apply to debit and credit card payments. Personal checks and cashier’s checks are also accepted.
Residents can submit maintenance requests through the online resident portal. Emergency maintenance services are available 24 hours a day for urgent issues by calling the office.
